Once again, Athens is burning. The foreign press say quite a lot of things about this, and if you want my opinion, is not as bad as they tell the foreign people... its much, much worse.
You see, the leading spiritual show biz trash tv idols here in greece, they provoke young people to be "rebels" because its "cool" and because its become "trendy" nowadays.
So what happens is kids and students are raised believing that is so much FUN, burning half a city, and that this is their way of life. And dont think these people were enraged by the murder of the 15 yo kid.
The murder of the poor kid has NOTHING to do with any of this. The people responsible for bringing chaos to Athens, are organized groups who like to think themselves as terrorists (pathetic) and as anarchists. They are OF COURSE supported by important people, politicians etc, and they are there, whenever/wherever.
Elections? burn. Protest? burn. University problems? burn. We dont like this new law? Burn. I have seen those people even following elderly people around, when they protest about their pensions, and waiting for the opportunity to start trouble so that we could all go out in channels and TV and MEDIA (media in greece is a pack of blackmailing political oriented "reporters") and say Oh, the government is crap. Look what you have caused with your policies.
So lets see, 2nd day of burning today, and oh, coincidence: Today is the trial of a HUGE scandal between State and Church, money laundring between monasteries and oh guess who, ministers who ended up with huge fortunes and money. Much bigger that what happened 2 days ago.
But you're not gonna hear about it, because the news are busy with the burning of athens now. When they cover it up though, you'll see, the anarchists will chill out and start drinking coca-cola again, smoking Lucky Strike and start watching Friends and House MD. again.
Hypocricy, is the word, i think.
